The Dog Pedic bed is pretty simple at first glance, but it is actually a new innovation in memory foam pet beds that offers an orthopedic quality that most other dog beds don’t have. Apparently this helps to take pressure off of joints and muscles that tend to get sore in older or arthritic dogs. The second type of foam is a much tougher ‘hard’ foam that supports the weight of even a large sized dog. The two are combined to make a super foam mattress that dogs seem to take comfort in.

The Dogpedic sleeping system also comes with a waterproof liner so that any messes that happen to get on it do not soak into the memory foam! That’s what I was worried about when I found out that it was made of foam. One of the first things that popped into my ‘experienced’ mind was ‘what a MESS that will be after a few weeks!’. But then I found out that there was in fact a waterproof lining between the foam and the suede cover, and all of it is removable for easy cleaning. PHEW!!
